Types of Adhesives

• Adhesives for flooring,
• Adhesives for internal walls,
• Adhesives for external walls.

Flooring adhesive is any type of strong, permanent glue for adhering flooring materials to a floor or underlayment. There are specialised different types of adhesive for different types of flooring (wood, tile, rubber, cork etc), although some multi-purpose adhesives can be used effectively with multiple materials. Certain adhesives will bond better to different types of substrates. Some adhesives can be used to install flooring over plywood, and some other are for hardwood. There are specific adhesives where underfloor heating is being installed.

There are adhesives for internal walls for different materials, such as for wallpaper, for specialised wallpaper, for bonding plasterboard to substrates, for bonding tiles to walls etc, and multi-purpose internal wall adhesives.    

Adhesives for external walls are created specially for polystyrene sheets, for mineral wool slabs and for both of them, and also those that can work well in winter time. There are also multi-purpose external wall adhesives. 

External Insulated Wall Render

Render is usually a thin layer plaster on external concrete substrates, on external polystyrene slabs, mineral wool slabs and on all kinds of external wall insulating systems. Some dedicated renders give the finished surface a stone like texture  and ones that give your home a smooth look. Acrylic render available in 32 ready-made colours has excellent water and frost resistance and has excellent self-cleaning properties, and will form a long lasting, aesthetically-pleasing protective barrier on the external surface of the building.
