60mm Rockwool Rainscreen Duo Slab is a dual-density rigid insulation for use in ventilated cladding systems and sealed systems such as curtain walling. The outer layer of each slab has a higher density than the remainder of the product and added with a water-repellent agent during manufacture. The outer layer would withstand rigours imposed on site and the random fibre orientation would prevent water transmission through the layer. Rockwool Rainscreen Duo Slab is well-designed for use in severe climatic exposure conditions. The resilient inner face is designed to accommodate any irregularities in the substrate. The slab can be easily fitted around brackets and other awkward details, and can be tightly butt jointed, so the fibres of adjacent slabs will knit together to provide a continuous thermal performance, thus eliminating heat losses. It is a cost effective solution, as it requires fewer fixings, so very quick to install.
