EWI-260 Levelling Mortar is a ready-to-use dry mortar which is used to level an uneven surface prior installing a external wall insulation (EWI) system. It can also be used on interior surfaces. EWI-260 consists of Portland cement, mineral fillers and modifying supplements that provide a superior levelling grout. The levelling mortar is used prior to priming the surface. EWI-260 can be used to repair cavities between 2mm and 50mm, making it ideal for repairing old damaged renders, or levelling reinforced concrete surfaces. It can be used either for vertical or horizontal applications.

APPLICATION
- Remove all loose or peeling plaster coats.
- If any moss or algae is present, use fungicidal wash.
- Use EWI-310 to prime the surface first.
- Pour the contents of the bag slowly into a bucket containing 4 litres of clean, cool water.
- Mix using an electric paddle mix to produce a homogeneous, lump-free mass. Leave for 5 minutes, and then mix again.
- Do not mix hardened grout with water or fresh material
- Apply the mortar to the cavity using a trowel or a long float with straight edges.
- Smooth out the layer and allow to dry before carrying out any further work.
