PFC Corofil Acoustic Intumescent Mastic Sealant is used to seal linear gaps and to seal small gaps around metal based service penetrations. It is a single-part water-based acrylic intumescent. It is fire resistant up to four hours dependent on wall construction and joint size. Intumescent: swelling up when heated, thus protecting the material underneath or sealing a gap in the event of a fire.
APPLICATION
- To seal linear gaps in horizontal and vertical constructions,
- To seal small gaps around metal-based service penetrations through fire resisting constructions.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Non-hazardous,
- Non-flammable,
- Suitable for linear joints up to 50mm,
- Shelf life up to 18 months.
CERTIFICATION
- Tested to BS EN 1366-3 and BS EN 1366 - Fire rating up to 4 hours.
