Ceresit CR65 Waterproofing Slurry is a cement-based coating designed for waterproofing surfaces like concrete and masonry. It creates a protective barrier against water penetration, ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, including basements, foundations, and retaining walls. CR65 is easy to apply with a brush or trowel, offering durable and long-lasting protection against moisture. It's commonly used in areas prone to water exposure, such as bathrooms, balconies, and swimming pools. Ceresit CR65 is suitable for waterproofing water tanks as well. Its cement-based formulation creates a durable, water-resistant barrier that can safely protect the interior of potable water tanks, reservoirs, and other water-retaining structures. It is effective in preventing water leakage while also being resistant to both positive and negative water pressure, making it ideal for applications where water containment is critical.

APPLICATION

• for waterproofing against water loads
• for waterproofing monolithic water tanks from inside aswell as drinking water tanks and swimming pools with a water depth of of 15m
• for subsequent waterproofing on the negative side
• for filling drill holes and cavities in combination with the silicifying fluid CO 81.

How to use

• Ensure the surface is clean, stable, and free of dust, grease, oil, or any loose particles.
• Lightly moisten the surface with clean water, but avoid water pooling. The surface should be damp, not wet.
• Any large cracks or damaged areas should be repaired beforehand using a suitable mortar.
• In a clean container, mix Ceresit CR65 powder with clean water (approximately 6.5–7.0 litres of water for 25 kg of slurry) until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved.
• Allow the mixture to stand for a few minutes and then stir it again before use.
• Using a brush or trowel, apply the first layer of Ceresit CR65 slurry evenly. Ensure the slurry fills any surface irregularities.
• Allow the first coat to dry for around 3 to 6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity levels.
• Apply the second layer perpendicular to the first for maximum coverage. The surface should not be fully dried between coats, just damp.
• Protect the surface from direct sunlight, rain, or frost during curing for about 24 hours.
• After complete application, allow the surface to dry thoroughly (usually 7 days for full waterproofing properties).

Important Notes:

• Do not apply CR65 in extreme temperatures (below +5°C or above +25°C).
• Avoid adding more water to the slurry once it has begun to set.
• For water tanks, allow the coating to cure fully before filling with water.
